Hexes is a mobile game I made with two others students. The game was made in 5 weeks in the Unity engine. The game consists of controlling a ball using a cellphone's accelerometer and trying to maneuver it over a course made of hexagonal tiles.
I was in charge of the UI and I worked on the game design and the level design. I also did the sound design.
The game has 3 modes:
Build lets the player create a custom race choosing from a variety of tiles he can rotate and place. Once finished, the course can be uploaded to the server for everyone else to play.
Play lets the player choose a race made by any other player and try to beat the best time.
Arcade lets the player test his skill by making him maneuver over randomly generated tile that appear one after the other until the player finally falls of the platform.
